Kasabian have announced details of a one-off London headline show at The O2 Academy in Brixton. Dates and ticket details are below.

The band will be capping off the promotional run for 2017 album ‘For Crying Out Loud‘ by following up festival dates in Edinburgh and Belfast with a surprise and intimate show at the iconic London venue next month.

The band’s remaining UK tour dates are below. Tickets to the O2 Academy Brixton show are on sale from 9am on Friday July 27 and will be available here.

Saturday August 18 – EDINBURGH Princes Street Gardens
Monday August 20 – BELFAST Custom House Square Belfast
Thursday August 23 – LONDON O2 Academy Brixton

A spokesman for Brixton Academy added: “This show is a strictly name on ticket event. The full name of the lead booker will be printed on each ticket and they must be present and attending with photo ID in order to gain entry. Strict two ticket limit per person.”

Meanwhile, Serge Pizzorno recently clarified controversial comments about new bands not being able to step up to headline festivals.

“This is the problem with quotes. Someone else’s interpretation of something is quite a different thing”, he told NME backstage at Mad Cool Festival 2018 ahead of their blistering headline set. “One thing I regret is not having Twitter, because I could come out and say ‘That’s bullshit, I never said that.’

“The question was ‘why are there no bands coming through? Why are there no headliners?’ To headline a festival, I’d say you need two big albums, three if you’re lucky.”

He continued: “So you’ve got bands that are capable with maybe one debut album and then the second doesn’t follow up as well. So then you get the third and fourth. Time will tell if that happens but that’s all it is. You can’t go on there with one big single, that’s not how it works.”
