Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan paid a visit to young fan Harrison Gent’s home to record a stripped back duet of his band’s 2014 hit ‘Stevie’.

Gent, who describes himself as a “young Leicester Musician Influenced by bands like The Arctic Monkeys , The Smiths , Nirvana , Kasabian and most recently Leicester’s own Easy Life,” uploaded the footage to his Instagram.

The young fan, who’s father is a friend of Meighan’s, plays guitar and harmonised vocals in duet with the Leicester rockstar.

“What a day! My dads friend Tom Meighan from Kasabian came round the other day and jammed with me! Such a generous, kind and funny man! Here we are doing Stevie. Loved it!” he said on Instagram.

Gent has previously covered the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana and Coldplay.

Kasabian are currently inbetween albums, having capped off the promotional tour for their 2017 record ‘For Crying Out Loud’ with an intimate show at London’s Brixton O2 Academy last summer.

2018 also saw them headline Mad Cool and Isle Of Wight Festival, play so loudly they shattered a wine glass, and even save a couple’s marriage.

The year was not without controversy, however, with the band forced to clarify comments that new bands from the current generation “aren’t good enough” to headline festivals.

“This is the problem with quotes. Someone else’s interpretation of something is quite a different thing”, he told NME backstage at Mad Cool Festival 2018 ahead of their blistering headline set
